Woodview Road Bridge – The Township Public Works Department has begun the initial work for this bridge project by completing vegetation removal.  Additionally, a contract has been entered into with Con-Tech Engineering Solutions for the manufacturing of the Pre-Cast components.  Over the winter months the existing bridge will be demolished and a crane pad will be constructed in advance of a March 2025 construction start date, so that the site is ready for the delivery of the pre-cast components in April of 2025.

Glen Willow Road Bridge – The Township currently has an approved permit for the project from the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection. However, we have not been granted approval by the Army Corp of Engineers or the National Park Service, these approvals are required by federal law due to the White Clay Creek being designated by Congress as “Wild & Scenic”.  We have been working with these agencies, holding multiple meetings, to satisfy their desires.  Ragan Engineering is working to complete several examples of how the bridge construction effects the upstream hydrology.  We anticipate this to be the final step and anticipate having approvals from these agencies in late 2024.

Hilton Road Bridge- Ragan Engineering believes that they have worked out a valid design for the Hilton Road Bridge based on lessons learned from the Woodview and Glen Willow projects. A GP-11 permit application has been submitted to the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection.  This submittal also triggers the start of the review for the Army Corp of Engineers and National Park Service. We are currently awaiting approval or comments on this application.

Chambers Road Bridge- The survey work has been completed. Ragan Engineering is currently working on the hydrology and hydraulic design.

Paschal Mill Road- Design work on the Paschal Mill Road crossing has been completed. Due to the smaller drainage area that this crossing serves there is no General Permit Required and no NPS or Army Corm Review will be needed. We have been unable to locate a Co-Stars provider for this precast and will be working on a bid package so that this project can be completed in 2025.
