London Grove Township has several boards, commissions, and committees that help facilitate the Township’s needs and responsibilities. These boards and commissions are made up of volunteers from the community. Members of these boards and commissions are appointed by the Board of Supervisors and make recommendations to the Board of Supervisors. The Township is very grateful to the volunteers for their effort, time, diligence and responsibility!
The Board of Auditors acts as a supplement to the hired professional auditing firm.
The Board of Supervisors is the legislative body directly responsible to the voters of the Township. The Supervisors are responsible for the general governance of the Township and the execution of legislative, executive and administrative powers in order to ensure sound fiscal management and to secure the health, safety and welfare of its citizens.
With environmental conservation and improvement as their exclusive focus, Environmental Advisory Council’s are designed to have a significant impact on the quality of life in Pennsylvania’s communities.
The London Grove Board of Supervisors established the Inniscrone Golf Course Advisory Committee to assist in monitoring the current operations and developing a long-term strategic plan for the Inniscrone Golf Club.
The Historical Commission serves as an advisory capacity for historical preservation information facilitation to the citizens of the Township.
The Open Space Committee was formed in January of 2005 to preserve open space in London Grove Township.
The London Grove Township Parks and Recreation Board (PRB) was established to facilitate the development of Township parks and trails for both active and passive recreational endeavors.
The Planning Commission is responsible for advising the Board of Supervisors on all planning matters in the Township including development plans, the Comprehensive Plan and amendments to the Zoning and Subdivision Ordinances..
The Zoning Hearing Board is responsible for hearing applications for variances, special exceptions and appeals from a decision of the Zoning Officer.
