Independence Blue Cross to cancel their insurance policies for Keystone 65 Complete, Keystone 65 Value and Keystone Personal Choice effective December 31, 2009.

The Chester County APPRISE program has received numerous calls from seniors concerned that their policy has already lapsed. Please see the available resources for information, which can be found on the County’s website, which provides some education and hopefully reassurance to seniors who will be affected by these cancellations. Also attached you will find information about insurance scams for which seniors need to be alert.

Any county resident with questions or concerns about these cancellations may call 610-344-5004. This number is not manned so they will need to leave a name and telephone number. Typically calls are returned within 24 hours but due to the high volume of calls it may take longer to receive a return call. Your residents may also call their area senior center for assistance.
