Community Gardens at Goddard Park- New Season, Fresh Start 2026
Working to revamp the Community Gardens Program for the upcoming season. We appreciate your cooperation and commitment to making this program a positive experience for everyone.
Gardening Season
- Season Dates: April 15 – November 1 each year.
- Pre-Season Meeting: A mandatory Garden Group Meeting will be held in early April at the Gardens. (Meeting date to be determined)
- Fee: $31.00 Resident, $52.00 non-resident
- Churches and Charitable organizations fee waived.
Pre-Season Meeting Details
- Led by Dawn Maciejczyk, Assistant Township Manager. (Early April at the Gardens)
- Review of rules and regulations (which all gardeners must sign).
- Overview of contact procedures for questions or concerns.
- Discussion of soil needs, preparation, and any outstanding items from the previous season.
Bed Assignments and Availability
- All rentals are on a first-come, first served basis, one bed per gardener during the initial window:
- March 1-13: LGT residents with a current bed
- March 14-31: LGT residents without a current bed
- March 23-31: Non-residents with a current bed
- April 1-May 1: Non-residents without a current bed
- May 1 onward: Any unclaimed beds may be rented as a second plot
- Garden beds that are left unattended or unused for more than three weeks are subject to reassignment without refund.
Regulatory Monthly Meeting
- Attendance is for gardeners at a by-monthly meeting prior to the Parks and Recreation Committee meetings-April, June, August, October. Second Tuesday of the month from 5:30 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
- Meetings can include:
- Presentations on best practices
- Open forum for issues and concerns
- Discussion on purchase items, or items they would like to see for the following year.
